Dan leads the Executive Management Team in the development and implementation of the company’s business and investment strategies and is dedicated to identifying new opportunities to enhance the services delivered to our clients.

Dan graduated from Dartmouth College in 1998, after which he joined the Fixed Income group at Goldman Sachs. Following his tenure at Goldman, Dan worked in GE Capital’s Private Equity group, where he conducted strategic investments for the firm. Dan then enrolled at Harvard Business School where he received his MBA in 2005.

During his time at Harvard Business School, Dan and a few of his classmates identified an unfulfilled need for financial advisory support for graduate students, specifically as it related to managing their student loan debt. After conducting a field study project, the team founded Graduate Leverage (GL) in 2003 with the goal of helping fellow students lower the cost of their student loan debt. Under Dan’s leadership, GL has grown to over 85 employees and has earned distinctive accolades, including Inc Magazine’s “500/5000” list of fastest growing companies in 2009.

Dan has been featured in and contributed to many publications, including U.S. News and World Report, The Wall Street Journal, and Businessweek.

In his role as Executive Vice President of Financial Operations, Mike manages the Finance, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Administrative functions of the business with primary responsibility for corporate accounting, financial analysis, tax, and audit.

Mike joined GL during business school where he initially focused on Sales & Business Development. Prior to business school, Mike served multiple roles in the corporate finance department at Textron where he managed the firm’s global short-term debt strategy and performed financial analyses for mergers & acquisitions activity.

Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brown University and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.

In Todd’s capacity as Executive Vice President of Client Services, Todd oversees the Marketing, Sales and Service Fulfillment divisions to ensure the highest quality of service is delivered to each of our clients. Under his direction, GL has expanded its service offering to provide a comprehensive suite of advisory services to clients and has increased the number of clients across multiple professions.

Graduating from Duke University in 1997, Todd joined Accenture as a management consultant where he worked with clients across various industries. Following his time at Accenture, Todd spent over three years in business development and consulting roles at Ariba, a leading enterprise software firm.

Todd joined GL during business school and also holds an MBA from Harvard.
