AMWA serves as a collective voice to address the issues facing women in medicine by focusing on providing members with leadership, education, and mentoring support. With membership ranging from students to residents to practicing physicians, AMWA has an active local, national and international presence.

American Student Dental Association (ASDA)

The American Student Dental Association represents 85% of dental students from all 58 U.S. dental schools. As a student-run organization, ASDA provides its members with services, information, tools and advocacy to be well-informed and successful in the field of dentistry.

Association of MD/MBA Programs (AMMP)

Incorporated in 2008, the Association of MD/MBA Programs (AMMP) is an organization that serves as an educational home and forum for professionals who are pursuing or have obtained an MD/MBA joint degree. Created in response to the increasing number of dual degree programs, AMMP seeks to advance physicians’ business skills and management training to better equip them for leadership positions within the healthcare industry. To achieve their ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of patient care provided, AMMP offers education and information on MD/MBA joint degree programs to universities, programs, students, graduates, residents, fellows, healthcare professionals, and the public.

Emergency Medicine Residents' Association (EMRA)

With approximately 10,000 members, the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association (EMRA) is the oldest and largest independent resident organization. EMRA focuses on the education and development of emergency medicine residency trained physicians to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to patients. Over 80% of today’s emergency medicine residents are EMRA members while the organization also boasts an extensive alumni network of over 18,000 members.

National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA)

National Latina/o Law Student Association (NLLSA)

The National Latina/o Law Student Association (NLLSA) is an organization serving as a conduit for Latina/o law student voices. Founded on principles of social, ethnic, racial, gender and sexual equality, NLLSA is focused on advancing Latina/o academic success and commitment to community service. NLLSA is fueled by a progressive coalition-building approach to addressing the legal issues affecting Latinas/os around the nation.

Southern California Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA)

An advocate for the professional development of the veterinary community, the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA) is the largest regional veterinary medical association, with membership comprised of more than 1,300 veterinarians. Founded in 1905, the SCVMA focuses on the advancement of veterinary medicine and animal health by providing support and educational resources to Southern California veterinary professionals and the community.

With more than 7,000 members, the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) provides academic support and career advancement opportunities to medical students of color. By concentrating their efforts on educating current and future minority health professionals, SNMA seeks to continuously increase the amount of socially and culturally conscious practicing physicians across the country and in the Caribbean. The SNMA also seeks to address the medical needs of underserved minority communities and to ensure that medical services provided to these diverse communities are culturally sensitive.
