GL Advisor was created to provide graduate students and young professionals with a unique service that facilitates financial well-being during a critical and underserved period of their lives. The goal of this service is to give recent graduates the tools and support needed to assist them in building personal wealth and a positive net worth. GL Advisor provides services to assist with debt repayment, debt relief programs, risk management, and other important financial decisions that new professionals often face.

GL Advisor was started by members of Graduate Leverage (GL) after identifying the need for a service that focuses exclusively on providing advisory support to recent graduates burdened with student loan debt. Graduate Leverage, LLC is the parent company of GL Advisor. In 2003, students at Harvard Business School created a resource to help fellow students make better decisions regarding their loans. GL evolved into an innovative provider of student loans and servicing solutions in its pursuit to lower the cost of student loan debt.

While working with over 75,000 students from top graduate programs, GL provided advice and support to recent graduates seeking assistance with their debt and other financial matters. Although GL helped these graduates with issues often pertaining to other loan providers and spanning beyond student loans, it became clear there was a significant need for an advisory service focused exclusively on the issues facing new professionals. This realization resulted in the creation of GL Advisor, an advisory service designed to help clients fully understand their options, make better decisions regarding debt, and implement solutions to improve their financial well-being.
